Children's Ministry
At HOPE we value providing an accepting place for children to grow spiritually closer to God and others. Children experience age-appropriate Bible lessons, worship, and activities taught by a caring and engaging children's team. It is our hope the children will go home able to share with their families what God is teaching them on Sunday morning. Therefore, we provide a weekly student take home sheet to support family communication. This is a wonderful resource for parents to use throughout the week.
Our curriculum is designed for each age level to study the same weekly Bible passage. We use FaithWeaver Sunday School and Kids Own Worship by Group publishing. Click the following link to view our scope and sequence.
HOPE's Children's Ministry spans from 2 months to 6th grade and provides two Sunday morning classes. Children may attend one or both. Our mission is to assist families in growing life long disciples of Christ by providing a place of community, discipleship, and evangelism.

5th Sunday - Mulitgenerational Service
On the months when there are five Sundays (January, May, July, October) we include children in our adult service on the 5th Sunday of that month. This is an opportunity for adults to model the value of worship and the Bible to the next generation. Everyone begins together in the sanctuary. Just before the sermon parents have the option of checking children 5 and under into the children's program. We encourage children 6 and up to sit with their parents during the sermon. They may not understand all of the sermon but they will be learning as they participate with the adults they admire. The sermon will be slightly shorter on a 5th Sunday. We recommend talking to your children about appropriate behavior in church but we also recognize that this is a learning opportunity for children.
