Core ValuesOur Overall Core Value: To DEVELOP leaders from the harvest for the harvestD eveloping Leaders We believe every member of our church has great potential for leadership. Every Christian has unique God-given gifts, which must be discovered, developed and used to serve others. Leaders are servants who influence people toward God’s purposes. We will empower leadership and encourage risk-taking for God. (Matthew 25:14-30, Romans 12:4-8, Hebrews 13:7-8) We believe it’s our highest joy to experience a love relationship with the living God. This love relationship heals and transforms us. As God reveals Himself through His Word, His Spirit, our relationships and prayers, we are led toward spiritual maturity, a joyful commitment to His Lordship, and whole-hearted worship. (Isaiah 61:1-3, Zephaniah 3:17, 1 Peter 1:22-25, 2 Peter 1:2-11) We believe that to whom much is given, much is required. We’ve been entrusted with a wealth of resources—time, talents, and finances—which we must faithfully manage. In line with Christ’s vision for us as a church, we will strategically, compassionately and generously release God’s resources for maximum impact to God’s kingdom. (Matthew 24:45-25:46, Luke 16:10-13, 1 Corinthians 4:2) We believe each child and young person is a gift from God and a leader of tomorrow. We will empower them as disciples of Christ, helping them to: know God’s Word, root their identity in Christ, serve God actively, and develop a passion for Christ and His global purposes. We encourage our youth to dream great dreams, changing their generation for God. (Deuteronomy 6:4-8, Psalm 78:1-8, 1 Timothy 4:12) We believe God is the only rightful Ruler over all creation and that God is actively working in history to transform all creation, uniting all peoples under the loving rule of Christ. In response to Christ and our local mission field, we will express this unity by building a joyfully multi-cultural church. Through loving witness and compassionate service, we will proclaim this Good News of Jesus Christ both locally and globally. (Isaiah 61, Luke 9:1-6, Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 1:9-10, Acts 1:8, Revelations 5:6-10) We believe God’s Spirit heals us and transforms us through loving relationships with other believers. We develop these relationships best through small groups, where we can serve one another and unite together to draw others to Christ. To protect our capacity to love and serve people, we will continually multiply new groups. All living organisms grow; therefore, we actively encourage our groups to grow and reproduce in natural (organic) ways. (Isaiah 61:1-3, John 13:34-35, Acts 2:42-46, Hebrews 10:24-25) We believe God is our life, and prayer is our lifeline to God. Through prayer, we gain God’s PRESENCE, PRIORITIES, and POWER for mission. Through prayer, God acts to heal, save, and set people free. (Matthew 18:18-20, Mark 1:35-39, John 15:5-8)
